I Love Your Work, Harri Peccinotti

Below are some of my favourite images by uber-legendary photographer Harri Peccinotti. I don't know why, but they feel really relevant for right now. Maybe it is the bright colours in these particular pictures; or perhaps it is the exuberant celebration of les femmes fatales. Harri Peccinotti is famous for his graphic explorations of the female form, and he is undoubtedly an inspiration to designers and photographers, including Tom Ford and Terry Richardson, who love women for their femininity.
Harri Peccinotti is someone I would love to meet - I bet he has some great stories under his beard!!

Online Fashion Candy, 2011

Surely the website of the year is going to have to be this one:

http://www.tomford.com

Mr Ford's brand of fabulousness is now only a click away! The men's collection, beauty and eyewear are already live with womenswear coming soon, so stay posted. Too exciting.

Also - unbelievable but I have yet to see 'A Single Man'. Now that the New Year revelry has come to an official end I am looking forward to putting hedonism on hold and taking life at a slower pace for a while, staying in and watching some movies. This will definitely be at the top of my list (Colin Firth is pretty delicious too!)

Fantastic Mr Ford

After a short lived break from designing, Tom Ford has returned to womenswear just in time for Spring Summer 2011. Here is one of the first campaign pictures:

Tom Ford loves designing clothes for women, and it shows. The collection runs on high octane glamour and is definitely covetable: think super feminine, form-fitting shapes; luxury fabrics that drape perfectly; and a simple colour palette with the odd eye catching, beautifully patterned pieces. Bring. It. On.

For now, fans of Mr Ford can content themselves with his stunning debut make-up collection. My personal favourite is the Cherry Lush lipstick (aka the perfect red), as seen here on model Daphne Groenveld on the cover of the December issue of Paris Vogue, which was also guest edited by Ford.

Also for this issue, he was interviewed by his old friend, Lisa Eisner, who he has known for over 20 years, and we are offered an intimate glimpse into a different side of the suave, be-suited man of the ad campaigns. In fact, Ford is extremely spiritual, and he is deeply inspired by and moved by nature, which surrounds him on his ranch in Western America. I love this picture of him (below), for purely that reason. What will he show us next? I can hardly wait to find out, but it is bound to be something totally unexpected.
