RIP Jeff Conaway

"A hickey from Kenickie is like a Hallmark card..."

I first watched Grease when I was about 9 years old ... so I experienced some major nostalgia just now to hear that Jeff Conaway, the actor who played Kenickie, passed away this afternoon. PS: I'll let you in on a little secret: my 9 year old self was totally peachy keen, jellybean for a hickey from Kenickie!

Something a bit strange going on: only this morning I was searching Google images for a picture of Sandy and Danny in the flying car which I was going to blog about as my super-tacky, Friday morning inspiration (maybe I have a sixth sense!!!). jokes. Only I couldn't find the image anywhere! Anyway gonna go now, don a rara skirt (maybe!!) and relive my youth by rewatching the movie for the millioneth time ...

Happy Weekend xxx

Scotty McCreery, the 10th American Idol

Scotty McCreery, the new star

Scotty McCreery is the new Fox star:

On May 25, 2011 grand finale of 10th American Idol declared Scotty McCreery, a 17-year-old high school student from Garner, North Carolina. The world now see whether he will be a winner in the grandstage of the music world. After performing nearly flawlessly throughout the 10th season of the Fox talent competition, he in a word snatched away the title beating Lauren Alaina.

And he did it with an unwavering commitment to country music — even when challenged with other genres. During the show's installment of Elton John tunes, McCreery uncovered John's "Country Comfort" and made it his own. Jennifer Lopez evaluated him saying, "You have amazing instincts about performing and about what's right for you," Armed with an cool aw-shucks attitude and genuinely goofy grin, McCreery managed to outlast an array of more seasoned and outgoing finalists, such as eccentric 20-year-old jazz lover Casey Abrams of Idyllwild, Calif., wailing 22-year-old rocker James Durbin of Santa Cruz, Calif., and sultry 20-year-old vocalist Haley Reinhart of Wheeling, Ill.

Lindsay Lohan in house arrest

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is in house confinement:

Again Lindsay Lohan is undergoing a sentence and this time she has to serve for four months under house arrest for a probation violation and jewelry theft conviction. She has to wear an ankle monitor for 35 days and can't go out if not allowed by the court. Before  that on May 26, 2011she went to women's jail and was transfered quickly to her house for aforesaid sentence. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said that the "Mean Girls" star is paying for the costs of her monitoring.

MORE: Lindsay Lohan, threatened to death.

Stephanie Sautner, supetrior court judge, sentenced Lohan to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service in April after determining the actress took a necklace without permission from a store near her home. The judge said at a hearing that if Lohan served time under house arrest, she could not leave to whittle down her community service hours at a women's shelter and the county morgue.

LOHAN

Lohan pleaded no contest earlier this month to misdemeanor grand theft but did not receive additional jail time. The jail term was imposed after Sautner determined Lohan violated her probation in a 2007 drunken driving case. Whitmore said the actress was cooperative when she turned herself in, and it took about an hour for her to be fingerprinted and booked. No new mugshot was taken. The actress has been scheduled to appear as the wife of John Gotti Jr. in a biopic of the infamous New York mob family. Shooting will begin later this year.

MORE: Lohan's realization at last.

In reply to a question, Steve Honig, a spokesman for the film, "Gotti: Three Generations"  commented nothing. They are also observing the situation closely and take decision about what to say or do. Lohan's realization recently can't help her enough to change her life as quickly as she wants or expects to do.

Jennifer Lopez not decided for American Idol 2012

Jinnifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez still uncertain for next season:

Fox reality show American Idol 10th season has just ended crowning Scotty McCreery but there rises a question that whether Jennifer Lopez would sign up as a Judge for the next season that starts in January. The 41 year-old singing superstar has boosted ratings and attracted rave reviews since joining eight months ago.

Lopez in American Idol 10th season

Unlike her fellow Judge Steven Tyler  and Randy Jackson who signed a multi-year contract, Lopez signed only a single-year contract for a rumored $12 million. She has earned significantly less money from the show than fellow judge Steven Tyler who will return through the 11th season alongside original judge Randy Jackson. Tyler reportedly raked in $18 million for the first season alone.

JENIFER the music and look

"It's too early to tell," said Lopez but Fox chief Peter Rice said earlier this week "We loved having her -- the hope and expectation is she'll return." “The format is so strong,” Rice said. “Ultimately, we needed credibility in the judges. We needed them to want to be there and to be entertaining. We needed chemistry among them, and I think they gave us that in spades. It’s been a fantastic season.” Rice said that Fox and “Idol” worked hard not to replace Cowell, who departed at last season’s end, because the network knew that Cowell would return with “The X Factor” this fall. The Judging trio will be in place and we will have another American idol for 11th season.

The winners of all seasons:

Kelly Clarkson (2002)
Ruben Studdard (2003)
Fantasia Barrino (2004)
Carrie Underwood (2005)
Taylor Hicks (2006)
Jordin Sparks (2007)
David Cook (2008)
Kris Allen (2009)
Lee DeWyze (2010)
Scotty McCreery (2011)
